lack of my post...
sorry I haven't posted anything for a while. I've been very busy but I'll try to post something in case there are some people who read my blog....many be 3 people I assume..
I saw Ice Age 2 on its first weekend. Animation was great! and some of my friends worked on it. I think all crew who worked on the show did good job, the box office has proven it. Congratulation guys!
I don't have anything else to write...hmmm...oh I feel unfortunately the animation job market for film industry is very cold now. I've heard there would be the laid-off here and there, but I've also heard that many studios would start hiring people in summer, maybe around Siggraph? If you are looking or will start looking for a job, be aware of that. The animation job for Games is better than for films, I guess because new game platforms are coming soon.

there's maybe more opportunity in games.. but as usually movie will be more attractive ..:)
don't worry too much .. i don't think it'll be hard for you ..
It's hard to just get into either the game or film industry as a character animator. Timing is also very important to get in. The key is to keep working hard and trying.

I've got a phone call from Wongu(I believe you know him) that he is gonna go back to Australia. He has not even used half of his OPT, but I think he has been pressured a lot during that period. I have been busy applying for Pixar internship and coming Disney internship and feeling some pressure from them, and now even more pressured by Wongu's news. Now I am not sure if I did right with turning down the offer from Insomniac.. Anyways, I hope we all get stable jobs sooner or later.

I didn't know about Wongu...I guess there is still a chance to get a job here in US..well, hope everything will work out for him.
it seems your situation is tough but timing is key so I really hope you best luck!!
