lazy......busy
no post for a week.....I'm lazy, no, no, I'm busy. This blog is like my notes on animation or whatever, but i guess not many people stop by reading this blog, so I might keep being lazy...no, no, busy.
The recent Disney-Pixar news, I have read some articles. I just think it's too early to say anything about it. I hope the deal will be good for both studios and the animation industry as well. I don't remember where I read this but I liked it very much, so here is the quote.
----
“For many of us at Pixar, it was the magic of Disney that influenced us to pursue our dreams of becoming animators, artists, storytellers and filmmakers,” said Lasseter. “For 20 years we have created our films in the manner inspired by Walt Disney and the great Disney animators - great stories and characters in an environment made richer by technical advances. It is exciting to continue in this tradition with Disney, the studio that started it all.”

I do drop by once a day, man. Keep going on. I also hope some more guys come here regularly and read and write their thought about animation. The more we share, the more we improve.
And recently, I tend not to go to Spline doctors. I don't like what they are thinking about making some money from what they will post, even if they want to donate the money. They posted students works there including mine, and many people saw them and started to think that those pixar guys can teach very well, and then want to pay for it in the future... I don't feel that good about it.
hey jay, ok at least i have one person who reads my blog here:) I'm willing to share my thoughts and what I learned about animation even thought I'm not that good. There are a bunch of good animators blogging worth checking out.
for the sencond post, Spline doctors are thinking about making money to donate from the podcast, aren't they? not from what they blog or student works? I kinda like that they exposed what they think about animation and what students do. I just listened to their first podcast. I don't really see why you don't feel that good about it.. They are good teachers but althogh their podcast is great it totally depends how seriously people want to learn from it and want to be animators. it would be great if we can be good animators like them because listening to their podcast.

Yeah, I know their knowledge is great and worth to be paid if they want. But what I don't like is their way or intention(maybe not them but only Dr.A?)of making the blog a way of their business. If they started their blog just like AM which is for making money, then I would not have felt that bad. As far as I know, the Spline doctors started from the idea to share their thought and knowledge about animation with outside poeple without thinking of making money from it. Because of that idea, I guess, p2 students agreed to post their works there.
Hm... it's hard to tell this kinda serious issue in English. I hope you understand my thought...
Hey Jay, I kinda understand what you mean. Personally, as long as money goes to donation I wouldn't mind. well, you'll talk about this in person :)
Thank you for your thought.
