doing nothing is hard....

I'm talking about animation. In 3d animation, a character doing nothing is hard...when a character stops it looks dead. So I thought I had to move a character all the time. The result looked floaty and wrong.. I tried to do many things to get over it. It took me a while to figure out what was wrong. so what was wrong? It's simple but it was difficult for me at the time. I'm not telling now manybe later post, so think about it.

addition.

i thought it's really important to have a great pose if i only have subtle movement in the shot. more less movement, more important to have great pose. of course it's always important to have a great pose, but with subtle movement, it's critical IMHO. because audience will get bored easily, if what they see is not appealing. so when i have to animate subtle movement, i should have really nice visual quality somehow.

it's really nice to read your thoughts online, since you dont talk that much in person!! hehehe.
please keep posting.

i agree that it's important to have great poses. sometimes a shot doesn't allow you to have a great pose though it's always good to keep that in mind and to make the pose read better.

I don't talk much in person? because you didn't ask me:)
